MY SERVICES
Available Therapies
Receiving a massage is no longer just a luxury. These days, it's a necessity! Regularly scheduled massage therapy and bodywork is a wonderful preventative treatment for many physical ailments people encounter. Relax in a comfortable and familiar surrounding with a hotel or home massage while I work to relieve the pains that build from the stresses of a busy life. I have a very intuitive touch which allows me to immediately get to the heart of the issue to bring your body back to a state of balance & well-being. Below, is a list of the different styles and modalities I may use during each session.
SWEDISH MASSAGE
Swedish massage is what most people think of as a general relaxation massage. The pressure is moderate to firm, but gentle. It uses long, gliding strokes, kneading, vibration, tapping, and friction to help improve circulation, ease muscle tension, decrease discomfort and create an overall sense of well-being.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue massage, when used in conjunction with Swedish massage, reaches beyond the superficial layers of muscle tissue to affect change in the deeper layers of tissue. Although this work often uses increased pressure, it is important to note that this technique need not be hard or painful in order to be deeply effective. Melting through, not pushing through the tissue is the goal.

COMPRESSION MASSAGE
Rhythmic compression into muscles used to create a deep increase in and softening effect in the tissues. It is generally used as a warm-up for deeper, more specific massage work.

SPORTS THERAPY MASSAGE
Sports Therapy tailors general massage principles to the needs of athletes in order to prevent injury, help enhance athletic performance and decrease recovery time. The therapist combines elements of Swedish and Deep Tissue massages to address fatigue, soreness and repetitive strain. It also incorporates techniques that are highly effective at increasing range of motion and flexibility.

CHAIR MASSAGE
The client is seated in a special chair with the face resting in a cradle, looking down towards the floor, with supports for the arms. The back and neck completely relax while the therapist relieves muscle tension using Swedish massage moves, like kneading and compression and tapotement, which don't require lotions or oils.
